They are doing great.
On the Pacific Cup tracking page
LINK it shows them with 1921 nm to go and moving at 7.3 knots.
That means, only 11 days to go. That would be Saturday the 23rd, a whole week ahead of the finish deadline. Not bad.
LINK to a fantastic starting line photo.
Wanted to let you know I am still monitoring and wishing you fair winds for your journey all the way from Kansas. Starting photos look great.
ReplyDeleteFolks,
ReplyDeletewe landlubbers are confused: who is actually sailing on the boat and who is writing the posts on the blog?
Pictures and crew info do seem to show different things.
Ulli from Germany
Guten morgen. Here are the folks on the boat: https://pacificcup.org/16/entry/shadowside
DeleteHi Lad - my cell phone is fine. I found Bodhi, he is safe and well. I was probably on my phone sharing news with J & G. Just got your landline msg this AM. Sent emails to both shadowside@hrmginc.com and WCN7252@sailmail last night so you would know. Did you get them? Love you
ReplyDeleteAny details to share? What rotation are you using for crewing, sleeping? How's the food? And how's the boat faring? Would love more details!
ReplyDeleteCheers to all!
Good morning Shadowside, congratulations on your great progress. I hope everyone is healthy and getting enough rest. Hope to hear from you soon.
